Basically wall to wall slating of Morgan and D'Urso. Brazil did say however that he didn't think that Morgan meant to brain Hume. Hardly- I think he'd changed his view on it as the show progressed. There was also an interview with Davey on there and plenty of calls from reds fans and fans from other clubs condemning morgan.

Seems like we're getting national coverage now.

Heard quite a bit of it and they were calling for the video to be reviewed by FA. Simon Davey gave a good interview, said Hume has large scar on head (think he said 6 inches but not sure) where they have operated on him. Davey visited Hume last night and he was talking ok.

There was one guy on not sure whobut said they were with referee and that he could not tell if it was deliberate elbow from where he was (60 yrds away) mmm pictures clearly show he is not that far away, and if so then how can a linesman clearly see a 'deliberate handball' from 60 yrds away.

Only thing in D'urso'd defence is that he's to the right side of Hume as Morgan elbows him - so I assume he didn't see the swing of the elbow - however, the ref immediately blows up for a foul - so he saw something.

However, the video from behind the goal is as conclusive as it can be. Morgan's feet are planted, his arm comes up and he shoves his elbow towards Hume before the ball arrives. Hume doesn't 'run into' him ffs Mr Warnock. The force applied to fracture Humes skull means he would have had to be sprinting at Morgan. I think we all know where the force of the blow came from.

If the FA/FL do not act on this then it raises very serious questions about the protection afforded to footballers on the field. Nobody wants anyone taking to court for an honest challenge that may result in an injury, but if I did that to someone outside a boozer, I'd be looking at a prison sentence. What Morgan did imho goes beyond what is acceptable in the context of a competitive local derby. I don't think Morgan meant to put Hume in hospital with a fractured skull - but he took a decision to shove his elbow into Hume's face - I don't think that counts as an honest challenge or protecting yourself when heading the ball.

At the very least Morgan should be banned for the length of time that Hume is out injured.

Agree. Morgan would not have intended to cause the injury but the way he flung his arm out can only be put down to acting outside the realms of the game. Therefore, he should face the consequences of being reckless.

In law, intent and recklessness when it comes to assaults are one of the same.

    That last bit....

"In law, intent and recklessness when it comes to assaults are one of the same." That's the crux of it. It's a prosecution forGBH we should be pressing for not a holiday and an easily affordable loss of pay.

With regard to D'Uro - respect and all that - if he can't be trusted to officiate a game in such a way that protects players from serious injury - after they've brought things to his attention then his judgement needs to be questioned and he needs 'resting' from officiating for the forseeable future. Refs have a difficult job, made more so by certain managers and players - but this is beyond arguing over offside and penalty decisions.

Points on a table is one thing. Lives on the line, different matter altogether.

Brazil kicking off about Warnocks comments, says that he must have never played football if he thinks he walked onto that elbow.
