A few people talking about trying to arrange a trip to the States to see some games, I mentioned I'd be interested in one including Chicago and I received this. Sounded ok and then sounded very interesting at the end! Hi I don't know if you would be interested, but I have just been on the phone to Sports Travel Tours and they have said they can tickets to any games at Wrigley Field. I asked generally how much a week in Chicago would be taking in a few games. The estimate was £600-1000 per person. I have just emailed asking for price details and where the seats would be at Wrigley for (as an example) Possible visit dates: 13th August 2007-19th August 2007 Games: 15th Vs Reds & 17th Vs Cardinals I don't know if you would prefer a road trip or just stay in Chicago. I am not an experienced traveller so a jaunt across the US might be too much for me right now. I don't know how you would feel about going on a baseball jaunt with a 23 year old female. Right now I am just making enquiries. Chris
RE: As the old saying goes Yep, I realise that! Still, if a few of us can get this trip sorted it should be good.
I just had visions of you Expecting to be hooking up with some nubile, young nymphet & getting Bella Emberg!
Off to USA in June, San Francisco 1st was hoping to get to boo Barry "I have never used steroids" Bonds, but they are on the road when I am there , annoyingly they are at home to the Yankees the day I leave!
They were on strike the first time I was there! I thought about attempting to watch a game on my most recent visit to florida, but hurricane charlie turned up. I doubt Richard would want me to come along. We'd be doomed!
RE: Off to USA in June, Pity about your timing. I live by the Ballpark and have season tickets. I keep about a third and sell the rest, but I've kept all 3 Yankees games. Could make some good money on them. I'm in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Toronto over the coming 2 weeks, and all 3 teams are away when I'm in town, so my timing is not better. If you like a good drop of ale, there's a great little brewpub close to the Ballpark on 2nd Street called The 21st Amendment. Give it a go. Chances are that if it's a day that ends in Y, I should be in there.
RE: Off to USA in June, I couldnt believe when I looked at the dates and the Giants are on a 6-day road trip when we are in SF.
I'll ask for some more info nearer the date.
