How do I set up downloads of podcasts so I can transfer them onto a MP3 player (not an iPod). I understand that they can be setup to automatically download to the PC when a new one is available.
Easy, get thi sen an ipod, all you have to do is click on the podcasts link and click suscribe on the podcast you want, piece of piss
Piece of p*ss Download 'Juice' (google it) Free podcast software. You can set it up to 'subscribe' to and automatically d/l any podcasts you want. Stay away from iTunes - not needed. Works a treat with my Zen.
Cheers for that How do I find the podcasts then? I've a couple I want but can I do searches to find related stuff?
RE: Cheers for that Depends what stuff you want. I had the Ricky Gervais stuff from the Guardian site before they started charging for them, and the BBC does plenty of stuff - kind of 'best of's of various shows. Mark Kermode's R5 film reviews can be had as a 'cast and I've just discovered a little gem - Word magazine has just done its first 'cast; basically Mark Ellen & David Hepworth grumbling on about the inane minutiae of proper music.
There should be a URL for the 'cast you want to download - just paste it into Juice and let the software do the rest.

RE: Cheers for that Mark Kermode's R5 film reviews will definately be one as I usually only catch from 3.30 in the car and sometimes not even that. Theres a few American ones I want to look for though.....quite a few US Sports radio stuff available apparently.
Downloaded but............ When I try to run it I just get an error JUICE caused an invalid page fault in module MSVCRT.DLL at 0167:7800209a. Sorry. No idea about that, mate. Obviously conflicting with something else you're running. You can bypass these types of program entirely - find the link to the 'cast you want, right click & save to your desktop, then just transfer it to your Creative player. That's how I've done a lot of stuff when Juice doesn't recognise the 'cast.
Got RSSradio downloaded and working ok - just downloaded Mark Kermode and listening now. Off to find the other stuff I want now.
