yep were almost there. just a few more months of tories calling everyone on benefit, cheats n there'll be no more sympathy for genuine sufferers. n we'll be there. as long as bankers and chief execs get theirs.
I liked the idea of a pogrom in the US of A Especialy if was against the banking scum that caused all the problems in the first place.
I'm no fan of their socialist president but it's a bit harsh blaming him for the last 30 years of "Reganomics"
Re: I liked the idea of a pogrom in the US of A Correct it was the banking scum that changed the dynamics of britains economy from a manufacturing base to a nation of call centres.
Re: I liked the idea of a pogrom in the US of A I do hope that you mean "top bankers" when you refer to "banking scum". I was a banker at the retail level for many years, and I can tell you that the vast majority i.e. 99.9% of bankers work every day with the risk of someone pointing a gun at their face, for a relatively mediocre salary. You would (more than likely) be appalled at the pittance front-line cashiers get paid.
Re: I liked the idea of a pogrom in the US of A I certainly do mean those at the top that took the risks, along with the investment arms of those banks, I have the utmost sympathy for the front line troops that face the rath of the public when the small investments they made went even smaller. A very good friend of mine worked for a major bank for 30 + years and saw her job alter from a respectable bank clerk into some kind of hybrid sales person put under pressure to sell insurance and investments to all and sundry. When she got the chance to get out with her pension and redundo under the guise of rationalisation she was off like a shot.
Re: I liked the idea of a pogrom in the US of A A pogrom (Russian: погро́м) is a form of violent riot, a mob attack directed against a minority group, and characterized by killings and destruction of their homes and properties, businesses, and religious centres. A bit of a Fraudian slip!
1 word neoliberalism. there are some nice graphs to show the decrease in real wages and increase in corporate profits from the early 80's to the present day. All political parties have this same policy, they just vary on the small points to give an illusion of choice.
