Done absolutely bugger all since 6:30am. Been printing out maps, routes, tube/bus/train timetables, restaurant menu's, pub lists etc.. Got it planned like a military exercise.
I've been unemployed for almost 3 weeks! going stir crazy looking at the same 4 walls and watching day time tv all leading up to this weekend. due to not working i'm not getting tired on an evening and just laying awake and now we're getting closer to Wembley i have another reason i can't sleep! pure excitement!
I'm working nights tonight and i think i'll be trawling the net all night and adding tunes to my ipod
Agreed Spent all day cheking out tube timetables, pub locations & looking at picutes of Wembley. What a sad muppet!
RE: Agreed Couple of us are running our bus. Finally scourced last couple of tickets, have sorted pre & post-match refreshments, venue for parking & pub. Tube station just around the corner apparently. Job done. Just got to worry about getting some sleep in the next 48 hours.
dont worry about that I plan to just continue on all the way through from tonight. Sleeping and eating are cheating
RE: Agreed I don't think there's any point in going for a drink afterwards, not like you'll have anything to celebrate or owt. You might have to drown your sorrows though
Settled for... ....Uxbridge in the end. We were going to Watford/Rickmansworth originally and up until last night Harrow. We're stopping in Slough on the way, mate of ours has a pub there and we're having breakfast for 50 there first at 9-9:30, then onwards. Baker Street is always a good location though.
Well, whatever pubs we are in lets hope theres no nutters to spoil it and rival supporters can just enjoy a pint together
RE: Well, whatever pubs we are in I think it'll be like that anyway tbh. It's a cup semi-final and, lets be honest, none of us expected to be there so it's party time. There's bound to be a few amongst 30k+ from both sides who will spoil it for the others but thankfully they're in the minority. Having a chin-wag over a pint is one of the most enjoyable parts of the day. All too often that atmosphere and anticipation is spoilt when the game itself turns into a let-down!
