So we are 13 games into a 46 game season and have 15 points. Project this forward and we end up with 53 points. I actually believe we will get >60 points on the basis we have not yet put a decent run together and do have injured players to return. Yes we are all disappointed after another 2 back-to-back home games yielding 1 point (same as when we followed up an away win at Birmingham with 1 point in 2 home games)........BUT I BELIEVE this season will be another one of progression and we will end up mid-table. Hill and Flicker doing a good job.
nice theory but we also had 15 points from our first 13 games last season and ended up with 48, and can you clarify what yo mean by ANOTHER season of progression because stayin up because of another teams administration with the worst points total for quite awhile isnt what i call progression
I hope you are right but if Keith keeps telling the players they aren't as good as the opposition instead of saying the performance today wasn't good enough (he won't say that cos it reflects badly on him ) we are doomed. It goes without saying that if Keith had more money to spend he would have different players at the club but you don't have to rub it into the faces of the players you've got week in week out.
I think we are making steady progress under Hill & Flitcroft......my opinion. The quality of player we have now is better and we are competing well in most games.......this is progression. I accept we have recently been well beaten at home by Peterboro and Forest, but with a little more luck and referee's decisions dropping our way, we could have had a few more points. Let's hope Hill learns from last seasons (2nd half) mistake and bolsters squad when required ie. immediately we need a striker.
