Maybe a pretty low total this year - below 50 at least. I don't think we'll go down but it'll be good to get at least 30 points on the board before the half way stage.
tbh i think it will be a high points tally for survival this season as nearly every team can beat anybody. look at dony's game setdy.
At roughly the same stage last season (This time last year there'd been a few postponements due to the weather, so i've chosen the league table after 11th December) The Bottom 5 were: Pos..Team............P...GD..PTS 20 Sheff Utd..........20 -12 22 21 Middlesbrough...21 -10 21 22 Crystal Palace....21 -13 21 23 S****horpe........20 -12 20 24 Preston..............21 -14 19 And at the moment Pos..Team...............P...GD..PTS 20 Bristol City...........20 -11 20 21 Ipswich...............19 -13 20 22 Nott'm Forest.......20 -17 20 23 Doncaster............20 -17 16 24 Coventry..............20 -14 13 The average number of points in the bottom 5 is lower, and the bottom 3 last season all went down with 42 points, I reckon that's what team will need this year, although I can see Coventry being down with a lot less, and maybe even Doncaster unless they sort themselves out.
Re: At roughly the same stage last season Thanks for that - we're nearly half way and Coventry are only on 13 - they'll struggle. 50 will be enough to stay up
