No firstly a bit of the positive in this story..close neighbour burgled in middle of aft, work rarnd t'corner, recognised alarm. Went home and scum still in house. Phoned rozzers who turned up in numbers in no time flat. Scum do runner but spotted at back of Ron Daley's looking a bit supect by staff. Rumbled and caught red handed.

Now they (coppers) must've come back to house this am for a some follow up crap.

Bad blind bend, top of Oakwell lane, footpath on one side only...look where the cnuts decided to park. I had to take my kids into the road on blind bend to get past.

Bloody well is a big deal they could have parked quite safely 20 yards down the road and it's my Grandchildren we are talking about having to walk into the road on a rat run.

Police intelligence, now there's a great oxymoron. I am no longer suprised in the slightest about anything I here about them.

it's not that bad - i know the corner well and it is a bit blind but if you walked up to the front of the police van on the pavement you surely can see what's coming down oakwell lane. the road must be 7 metres wide and the police van must 3 tops. Having said that is is shitty parking, pity the wall wasn't knocked down like it was 20 years ago and you could have bounced the van down the hill and into pontefract road.

great parking that, complete tits , why didnt they go down a few yards and walk back up, nah, that would have been too simple and they would have had to use their legs.

I think you are missing the point

I had to take my young kids into the road to get past the pillock who could have easily parked safely 20 yards in either direction.

Last time I walked down there

.. maybe a couple of years ago, there was a house with loads of signs in the window - can't remember exactly but it was on the lines of
"Don't buy the house next door; they're asking too much for it / dodgy deal etc"

    What's all that about?? (dunno)

RE: Last time I walked down there

The house had been built by the people who lived next door and there were allegedly problems with gas and Electrical installations.

    erm

owners of oakwell motor homes who built said house and the one next door to it (and live next door at the bottom house) must have been in dispute with the people who bought it off them. When they attempted to put the other house on the market the signs appeared.

The house was taken off the market.

The people in the house with the signs moved out but returned some months later so I guess the dispute was resolved.

Hope that makes sense, it is complicated.

isnt that a better place to park then slightly down the hill?

Theyve parked in the only place that can be seen by vehicles coming up the road and down the road. Yes theyre on the pavement but theyre on it in the only place that if you have to walk around it you are highly visable. Stand next to the drivers door on the road and you can be seen by vehicles going up hill and down hill, both sides of the bend.

Or am i missing something else?

Yeh, you missed some thing alright. Young children should not have to walk into a busy road to get round an illegally parked Police car.

    Eh?

Most f the cars you see parked on the verge are not residents and they are certainly not parked in such a dangerous location.

In any case, which bit of illegally parked skipped your attention?

Do you not think the police ought to know better?

Which bit of "I had to take my kids onto a road on a dangerous bend" do you fail to understand??

Tell you what you park there , if you have a car or a license, on a match day or otherwise, and see what plod do.
