    I have read a few on here recently so I thought I would give my take on how I see politics work;

    Something is wrong with the country so the opposition promise to fix this issue depending what the media are hyping up at the time, be it jobs, health or education, this is then used in their election campaign. They then come into power and do f#@k all to fix any problems in some cases they become worse, the then once in power party start it all over again slating the new government who respond by saying they are cleaning up the oppositions old mess! After a while the whole cycle starts again (blagger)

    Prime example of this; William Hauge - he came to speak to my sixth form when he was the tory leader, simple question what will he do if he came into power?; "First things first I will get up to Liverpool and sort out this passport crisis!" No mention of how of course but guess what was the main politically media crisis at the time or what the government had recently f**ked up and had been arguing im parliament.........a backlog of passports due to a faulty computing system. So in other words the opposition jump on anything to get into power but nothing changes!

    I'd trust Nick Leeson with my money more than I would a politian at election time!

    Political parties aren't elected, goverments are rejected

    ... 'I'll vote for this lot, they can't be as bad as the current lot'</p>
