Poll: Windass - Yes or No?

What do folk think?

Would you sign him?

 

My answer doesn't really fall into any category...

I want to sign him, in a way. BUT I don't want to sign a player whose that old for that price. Its kinda a combination of about three of those options.

Not really..

Because I assumed that meant less than 150k, but around the 100k mark. I wouldn't even want to pay that much for him. Half the 100k. He's only worth about half a season in my eyes. I just...I'm kind of indifferent on the issue. Can't make my mind up.

 

14 goals already this season, 2nd/1st (cant remeber) top scorer last season + vastly experienced, of course id want to sign him. Id sign him for 150k +. Like Ritchie said hed get into any team in this division.
I think hes indispensable to Bradford but they may want to cash in on him whilst they can.

Well he wouldn't get in any strikeforce in the division.

Would he get in over Trundle or Knight at Swansea? I think not.

 

Id play him instead of Knight personally. Ritchie said he was the best striker/one of the best strikers in the division and would get into any side. I agree with him.

Windass over Knight? Wouldn't even be close for me, Knight comfortably.

...well seasoned, well travelled player with **** loads of premiership experince who's scored goals at all levels.

he'll also be able to teach the other 4 kids at the club a few things!!

Not compared to Windass maybe, but he's always scored goals at this level, and no-one's as experienced as Windass!

We've had experienced players in the past who were crap.

 

can,t we sign dougie freeman from palace now he is better than windass!

Yes...but would it !!
Most goals scored by any of our strikers in a season is Hayes at 18...he has 5 this season.... Windass has 10...most in a season 27.

Now the problem....£100K+.....on one hand not a bad investment to get promotion but on the other is a 36yr old striker worth it ? The only other season he got anywhere near that 27 figure was 23 in 1993.....other than that his best is 16...in 1994.

2003-4 Season played 34 scored 6
2004-5 Season played 39 scored 27
so far this season 10 from 28 games

So perhaps not !!!

 

but what good would leon knight do?

he's a bit of lovely person alledgedly...sent back from washdays and fell out at brighton.

also he's young!! we've got 4 young forwards at the club!! we don't need no more.

windass is also a leader.

that is also what were missing in this team!
