I haven't been kind about that signing on twitter since we made it - didn't understand it really, but he didn't put a foot wrong today. Solid, commanding - nothing to do in terms of shot-stopping but everything else he did was faultless. Well done Mike.
Didn't have many shots at him today, but he commands the area, unlike Steele. His kicking and quick distribution is also better.
I thought he was poor on crosses into his box, a few times the defenders had to head the ball at the back post because he hadn't come for it. His kicking was also poor, didn't go out of play but neither did it go to a reds player
Nope. I thought he had a good game and his shot stopping was excellent at times but actually commanding his box? Nah, wasn't much better than steele. Just before half time he dove and caught the ball one handed (no idea how that is possible) but he only had to do it because he had let the ball come across his six yard box which is no different to steele. I won't criticise him for it though as I don't when Steele does the same thing.
Did what he had to do very well. Can't say he was outstanding as he hardly had a save to make, but in the context of the match he had a good game. Looked commanding.
Rooted to line when ball came across 6 yard box on one occasion in the second half plus a couple of dodgy kicks other wise he did well. Good keeper, now we have 2 of them.
Thought he did ok. Didn't have much to do, but did it ok. I would expect Steele to have done similar. Looked slow as **** though, as you'd expect. But not as bad as Gerrard for them. Wow. And some folk call our players gash. He was beyond gash.
Other night conceeding five didn't do him justice at all. Not at fault for the goal today either. If Steele had been in goal today we'd have conceeded a few. Any cross into the box he's quick off his line to grab the ball which sticks well to his gloves. Then he's fast at distributing the ball out quickly along the floor out wide to usually Kennedy. He must have covered just about every blade of grass in the penalty box today. Close to getting the MOTM award I imagine.
one thing I noticed that he did a lot better than steele was his kicking, not just the placement but the ball not going out of play.
Looked much more comfortable with crosses, a bigger presence. Didn't have any shots to save apart from the goal did he?
