https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0f7bj8l As I have pointed out to their fans, if he had shown 'class' himself (and his #2) he wouldn't have spent 95 mins in the 4th official's face. It really was incessant, and I can't help but think if he had maybe directed a few words towards his team every now and again, they wouldn't have been so utter dross.
With Duff having to pull Norwood away at full time from an altercation and now Kane having words with their manager, it as a feisty end to the match the other night! Shame i had to nip to the toilet on the way out and missed it all.
I saw MD run over to try and sort something out and then drag herbie away. probably handbags but don't know what might have caused it. Well done to Michael for spotting it from a distance and charging over.
Fair reflection of the game Andy. I Can't comment on the Kane issue or being in the 4th officials face tbf. But I do feel we got more of the rub of the green from the ref for a change. On one occasion close to giving us a penalty from my north stand view of an incident near in ponty area but think he had second thoughts lol.
Mousinho was player-coach at Oxford last season whilst Herbie was on loan there so there might be some history from that. A mixture of sour grapes and handbags from a sore loser imho.
I saw Williams dragging Kane away from something just after the final whistle too. I thought the ref was awful as is usually the case these days. Failed to give a number of free kicks for fouls on Norwood and missed two blatant wrestling moves by Mads on the halfway line. I wouldn't say he favoured either team, he was equally inept.
Thought it was a decent interview by him to be fair. No real excuses, recognises we were/are better than them.
Was expecting worse tbf. He's not said anything wrong there for me. Gave us credit and brushed off the question about Herbie. Nowt in it. I don't think he'd have mentioned it at all, had the journo not asked him about it.
What he said. Mousinho and his assistant both in the 4th official's face for pretty much the whole 90'. The linesman this side also got it from them when he was on halfway. Every single decision challenged like someone had just nicked his wallet. Every throw-in call, tackle, foul, dead ball, corner, goalkick whatever - they were going at it hell for leather. There were times when play had restarted and something significant happening but both were still just looking at the 4th official. Genuinely never seen 'owt like it, even from the likes of his (almost) namesake Jose.
