They are great shots. I presume you are into photography? Any recommendations for a beginners camera/lens etc?
Depends on what you want to take pics of and how much you want to spend. Most of the DSLR's that aren't top end pro ones will come with a standard kit lens that is ideal for landscape type stuff. Macro lenses where you get reight close in like these are more expensive but will range from about £100 ish to £1000+:nails: Longer lenses for birds etc, again its £100 for a standard 70-300mm lens (good enough for most situations and give a pretty good picture especially if the lights good - and some have a macro switch which allows you to take close ups) but prices of lenses at the top end it's name your price (£15 grand+ for some). The best idea is go to Jessops at Meadowhall and pick a few different ones up to see what feels right in your hand (some feel a bit awkward to different people - just a matter of taste really) and see what the prices of the different lenses are that you may want. One advantage of the Sony (over Canon and Nikon) is that it has image stabilisation built into the camera body where-as they have it in the lenses which makes some of the gear you buy for them (if you want IS) more expensive. Alternatively some of the "Bridge" cameras (they look like dslr's but have long zooms built in) are very good and more affordable. They have a lot of the same controls so are a good way to learn how to use them. Have a browse http://www.jessops.com/
