Towards those who have chosen to buy tickets to support the lads at Leeds.

Seems to me a few have thrown the teddy out about the failure of the poorly planned boycott attempt.

Calling people mugs and daft is not the way to go about things if you want support of any planned boycott in the future.

We all know it's too expensive. But it's time people stopped going on about it.

If you've chosen not to go then that's fair enough. But you don't need to keep telling people about it.

Some of us want to enjoy the build up to 2 massive fixtures. Not keep having it rammed down our throat that you think we've been ripped off.

Some of us are being priced out of football and want to do something about it. Sorry it's spoiling your enjoyment. Join the club.

I could go. I'm choosing not to. I haven't joined a thread or commented about those that are going. It's down to the individual to choose. Each to their own.

I'm on a one person boycott.

It's my closest game but I really can't pay £37 at that club.... It's a poor view in a poor stand with the money going into the pockets of that idiot running them.

Do something productive and proactive then rather than whinging on a message board. You're achieving nothing at all to resolve the problem by not buying a ticket.

Explain how buying a Leeds ticket 'resolves the problem' then? I'm one of the people who has constantly been in BFC's earhole about introducing a flexi ticket and look what's happened.

    It doesn't.

But at least I get to watch the Reds with the added bonus of it being one of the cheapest away days I'll do this season.

This is why nothing will ever change - a complete failure to see the bigger picture.

I'm sorry but me buying a ticket is not the reason nothing will ever change.

Not on its own maybe but if everybody refused to be ripped off they would stop doing it. I don't think geography is a factor either, personally I would still refuse to pay £37 if it was a thirty second walk away; it's just a decision based on principle for me.

Ultimately it is your right to go just as it is the right of those boycotting to withhold their custom but if you think buying a ticket doesn't contribute to the problem then I think you're wrong. Just my opinion though.

If you want a successful boycott then arrange one.

Great your principle is not to go, other people's principles is to go, either way nobody is right or wrong. If people want to boycott a game, organise it properly and most people will be behind it, people sitting here whinging will do about as much good to bring down ticket prices as the people that pay

It wouldn't work. Do we really need a boycott organised with military precision for people to understand that being ripped off is a problem in the game. I came to that conclusion all on my own; I don't need other people to tell me.

And that right there is the actual reason that nothing will ever change.

It shouldn't need a successful boycott arranging IMHO

Each person should decide what they find acceptable. I for one won't pay that. I'd hope people would feel the same. No campaign tactics required.

But what next? £45, £50, ? Who knows. But folk paying ........ What's going to happen? The prices won't come down, that's for sure.

More and more clubs are charging over £30 because they see Leeds getting away with it.

So you need a successful boycott to take a stand against being ripped off. Can't you think for yourself?

Look at Blackpool, a club being ripped apart. Fans have been organising boycotts for a couple of years now but some still ignore it and carry on going. There is no solidarity in football, it doesn't matter how many fans take a stand there will always be enough people to render their efforts pointless. This is exactly why clubs keep on charging what they think they can get away with.

I think it's about supply and demand relative to the club's league position and potential. £37 quid is indeed extortionate for a typiclal bloke at the moment and if there are families involved and/or long distance travelling I think, myself it's appalling. Having said that, it's the worth that can be had from the ticket... If it was the Champion's League final and Barnsley were playing Bayern Munich at Wembley I'd gladly pay £37....
If Barnsley were in the play offs against Leeds it might be worth going??? If Leeds and Barnsley were both in Div 2 who would want to pay that amount???
At the moment, for me, it's a rip off and not buying a ticket is a good way of protesting and saves a few quid. For those who go there are other peaceful ways of protesting at the match to show the authorities that they are pricing their fellow fans away. Just now, £37 quid does not induce me to want to go to Leeds.
