Poor performance, great result - lucky manager!

  1. About time we had some luck going our way. Wonder if that 66-1 bet is still available for promotion :D

    Was our performance that poor?

I've heard we were poor going forward until the last 20 minutes, but never really looked like conceding.

Maybe not a great performance, but poor seems a little harsh. (but I wasn't there, so hardly going to argue my case too much)

I'd not say giving someone their first home defeat of the season and winning with a clean sheet is poor no matter how we played on the pitch. Sign of a good team when you can win without playing that well.

    Resilient is the word.

Never looked like scoring did Doncaster.

Changed the game when Anderson and Butterfield came on, and from then on we just played the game out. Great goal by Hammill.

Steele was the man of the match for me, along with Darren Moore. Solid, commanding performance, and made a wonder save from Sharp's header in the first half.

Not what everyone else seems to be saying.

we had a very defensive midfield from the start

Halfredson was pretty poor and colace and doyle broke things up well but failed to get the ball moving forward.

Hammill had a stinker until he scored!

Butterfield and Anderson were excellent when they came on.

For Hallfredson and Doyle were just, statues really. Two poor performances from those.

Ok, sorry. They hit the cross bar.

    But we snuffed them out.

They were excellent from the halfway line to our 18 yard box...that was it.

  10. Sorry, I meant poor in comparison to recent performances

WBA for example when we were on fire. Agree though, sign of a good team who win when they are not at their best. At last, AT LAST, we seem to have a resilient defence who actually look like they can defend a lead. Wouldn't it be marvellous to keep these two full backs for the rest of the season
