Poor performance today Reds

    From the outset Doncaster were more 'at it' than we were and got the lead from being sharper than we were. They didn't show a great deal of skill at all, but clearly wanted it more than we did.

    Most of our players looked absolutely buggered, heavy first touches and little movement up top. Brighter second half and Hill basically went 4-2-4 for the last half hour, but in truth we didn't make any chances, and Donny deserved their win.

    Ah well never mind. If you'd offered me these two results before new years eve I'd have snapped your hand off. Hope Hill can add a bit of depth to the squad next week. Also just read news re: Butterfield - expected us to have to replace him this month anyway but can't help thinking Hill was counting on some cash from his sale to re-invest. Needs some smart signings now.
