In all fairness i think many on here would have said something similar before the Plymouth game, we were really playing to either be against the likes of Newcastle next season or Exeter etc

Very lazy journalism but unfortunately it has a grain of truth in it, Barnsley is a shytole.

Sorry F B C but Sunderland , Barrow-in-fernace and Workington are thw arsoles of the world and although the guy from Sunderland was making reference to football matters it nevertheless reflects on the town. So, we could be visiting the arsole of the world (Sunderland) on one cold wet Tuesday night.

Won't disagree with that, still doesn't detract from my statement though.

    Oi!

There are far worse places than Barrow, thankyou! Stevenage for example. Barrow may be small, isolated and backwardly thinking but at least it has a soul, a community spirit, a history and some decent coastal countryside.

True, but the last time sunderland were in the Championship their fans voted Oakwell their best away trip. Well it was relatively local, they won, but above all we gave them the North and West Stand North - Far more tickets than they had been given at other grounds..

Perhaps the Journal should print that!
