Not much idea when we had the ball, at least we didn't leave ourselves open at the back, but it looked like we could have played for a week without scoring. Positives for me were O'Brien and Drinkwater, thought they both played well down the right. Done did well when he came on, surely he gets a start on Tuesday ahead of the ineffectual Goldbourne? That's about it for the positives.

Negatives? Lets start at the back - Steele, his distribution has always been poor, but he seemed to have improved this season, today was as bad as I've ever seen him, topped off with that goal kick out of his hands which went out of play on the left when everyone was on the other side. Edwards and Foster didn't have much to do at the back. Thought Mceveley and Goldbourne were poor, especially Goldbourne - so why did Steele insist on throwing the ball left every time???? We looked a different side with Done playing, Davies ran around a lot and was unlucky hitting the bar again, Gray did nowt. Against a better side we would have been in trouble, we need another improvement before Tuesday otherwise we could be in trouble.

Having said all that I think the team needs some slack because we've brought in a number of new players and they need to get to know each other, so some patience is needed. Also we've lost our best 3 players and it shows. Not much Hill could do about that.

Harsh on McEveley. I'm not a fan of his, even in the slightest, but he wasn't bad today by any standard.

Butters was overrun in midfield again. Good job Ray McHale was solid in central midfield.

Shame Pat Howard and Dave Booth are out injured really - defence did well to keep a clean sheet without them
