    A guy called Nigel (who by all accounts is prone to the odd wind up) said he'd got some insider information about a new striker they were signing.

    He PM'd his fellow wendyheights on request and they all got a bit giddy.

    Going on about how this mystery striker and Leroy Lita were going to fire them up the table.

    Many of them throwing speculation about, Connor Wickham, Peter Odemwinge, DJ Campbell etc etc

    One guy even admitted to leaving work so he could go home and press F5 until the signing was confirmed

    So they all looked a bit silly when they didn't sign anyone.

    They're still hopeful of signing someone, and that 'it has gone through late'.
