Owner in tears over comments about the appointment of Flitcroft. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/p...-alarmed-carol-shanahans-darren-moore-reveal/
I can't think of many people involved in the game less suited to a director of football role than Flitcroft.
Problem with Flitcroft, is that he is too loyal. He should have renewed that relegation squad when we did the great escape, but he didn’t - they all got new contracts instead. It seems he promoted from within at Vale too prior to Moore. Whether he is suited to DoF I’ve no idea - he’s been around the game long enough. But Moore on a 5 year deal seems strange. That said, I like Moore - good servant to us, and a genuine and honest guy. The coaching staff at BFC also spoke highly of him after the playoff last year. Whether he can turn things around for them will only be seen.
Moore could turn them around, but it will take time, he's no inspirational motivator, he makes incremental changes.
Two sides to every story and then the truth. Rumblings from many close to the Huddersfield camp paint a very different picture of Moore than that opinion.
