Correct decision, no arguing that one in a million years. He's got his arm in the air for no other reason than to block the cross.
Having watched may times I genuinely think he leans towards the ball. And as for his shoulder DSLRed I think it's his upper arm close to the shoulder. Just shows how difficult it can be for a referee who has no VAR to consult. when lots of us can't agree given the video clip we've seen. I certainly don't think it's a wow decision. Difficult but not wow.
After several views, I think the ref got it right, the arm comes out and his movement doesn't look natural. I'd be fuming if it was against us like.... Odd that the linesman (in the best possible position) didn't give it, he was flagging for the throw in...
No he wasn’t flagging for the throw, he was flagging vigorously before the ball went out of play. He was deffo flagging for the pen. As I say, it looks very harsh to me
Whether it's accidental and at close range or not, it's clear arm/hand to ball contact. It's a penalty for me!.
You can’t really see from that angle, but it looks like he may have stuck his left arm out to block the ball. The speed at which the Stevenage player appeals and the linesman flags suggests there was something obvious there
When the ball hits his arm, it's nowhere near his side. It's almost above his head. Edit: I've paused it, it's at a 90 degree angle from his body.
Me too. Thought it hit him in the face but after rewatching I think he sticks his arm out and it hits that.
He was gesturing with his arm but as far as I know, the flag for a penalty is to hold it in front of his chest...
