They were a decent team last year. Played well and just lost out in the end.

They’ve continued that and built on it this season.....and had more to prove yesterday than us.

We lost a lot of key players, got a new manager and changed formation completely. Then have a 2nd batch of new players to blood in that were signed in Jan.

No surprise we lost. If the roles were reversed I’d expect us to have beat them too.

Annoying, but no surprise. Just glad it highlighted our frailties again without costing us points.

I’m not overly bothered about us losing in the cup, shame we didn’t make a better fist of it but league is more important. I hate to say it but was our precarious league position in the players mind more than the task in hand? Who knows it’s gone now hopefully we can get a result Saturday and move forward again

I'm not too bothered about going out of the cup either. Losing isn't the main concern, the manner of the defeat is.

We need to learn & learn quickly.

On the whole GS has highlighted the weak links in the team & has brought us a better tally of points.

He will be judged on the players brought in in this window & only time will tell on that. Pompey was not a good start, but there is a week on the training ground now.
Biggest worry for me is sticking to the diamond, when it clearly isn't working in some games. Easy to switch with the same 11 to a 4-4-2, 4-5-1 or a 4-3-3. Let's see.
This isn't the Austrian Bundesliga. It is a division where every team will come with tactics to beat / stop you.
