If this is on ifollow anyone else contemplating buying it? We can’t officially be promoted unless Peterborough win I don’t think but a draw will all but do it. If it’s available though I’m going to buy it and relax with a few cold ens. I think Sunderland will drop points Tuesday anyway, they’re fully concentrating on the play offs now I’d imagine and rest a few. Probably the regular 1-1 draw Sunderland love in that one.
Might have been tempted had Peterborough not lost 3-0 to Walsall, so I'm not expecting them to put up much of a fight. Have they got injuries or something? They haven't won in the last 3 matches and you'd expect more from a team so close to the play-offs.
If Peterborough vs Portsmouth or Barnsley vs Bristol Rovers is on iFollow then I can watch it on iptv, I have a 50 inch tv & if anyone is bothered, they can come around to mine and I'll not charge ;-)
I’m not sure, but one positive now is they ultimately must win. Especially now Coventry are winning. Yeah I agree a draw would all but do it, but they are playing Accrington so could get a few. I fully expect us to beat Bristol anyway, that have the worst home record in the division. But would be nice to have a leg up Tuesday.
If Pompey draw.. we only need a draw at Bristol. But we'll, am sure be going for the win. One to make sure and two, a crack at being champions
Peterborough really have to win to have any chance of reaching the playoffs. A draw means they need a ten goal swing so it is the last chance saloon for them. It should be interesting but I don't think I'll be paying to watch it.
I expect Pompey to beat Peterborough well - I also expect us to win, just hope as champions but promotion would be enough
If they draw were up. We wouldn't need to get anything at Bristol. Only goal difference would stop us being confirmed. Want to win on Saturday though, and hope Luton slip up again and then we would be champions.
Our old mate Adrian Durham will be a blubbering wreck on Tuesday night. Will want a Peterborugh win but at the same time will be wanting Pompey to pip us for Second jus because he's never forgiven us for the Huddersfield game where we "fixed it" for his lot to go down. Might just give him a call on Tuesday to wind him up a bit
Why is everyone ignoring Sunderland. They have less goal difference to make up than Pompey. If they win their two and we lose, the 7 goals could easily be chalked off.
Sunderland would have to win both games comfortably though - minimum a 2-0 and a 3-0 and need us to lose by 2 goals - given that they seem unable to score more than 1 goal in most games recently and usually let one in I wouldn't be very hopeful if I was a Sunderland fan As a Barnsley fan of course I am a bit more concerned but I would far rather be in our position than theirs Them beating Fleetwood isnt by any means guaranteed in any case It would be Ironic though if Peterborough ensure Pompey cant catch us and effectively promote us given how they still blame us for Huddesfield stopping chasing us down in Injury time and settling for the draw which sent them down
I can't quite explain why I see the 7 goal difference is easily overturned from Sunderland, but the 6 goals between us and Luton is impossible!
Sunderland have 2 games to do it though so 2 x 3-0 wins and us losing 1-0 would do it wheras if we assume Luton can only lose by one goal at most we need to win by 4 at Bristol ( I think its a 4 goal difference not 6 - at least at the table I am looking at Luton + 46 Barnsley +42). I think both scenarios are unlikely but I would say we have actually more chance of overtaking Luton than Sunderland have of passing us
I dunno if it's to try and pump his players up or he legit means it, but it's weird a club owner writing off this season when they have two games to go and can still make the play offs.......
