Yesterdays game was bang average. On another day we could have won it. Heard quite a lot of negativity regarding Schopp but weve lost 2 in 8 with most of our key players out for most of it. I think we need to give him some time to have a fully fit squad to choose from before we start judging him. He cant be happy with having to play Brittain in midfield and having a second half midfield pairing with 6 professional appearances between them. Were picking the odd point up with a average starting 11.
Does he have to play him in midfield tho? We had a left back on the bench all game from Bayern Munich. Is he that poor or unfit that he can't be selected? This transfer window could be shaping up to be another 'best ever'.
Last season where would you have played an untested kid who has just moved country and might not be up to speed with how we want to play? I dont think you would, but this year it's being suggested as an option. I think this tells you everything about where we are at the moment.
Another positive for me again was Hondermarck ok not everything came off for him but his passing and the aggression he showed says to me he’s going to be in and around the first team squad more than the under 23s
