Just to balance things up a bit I thought their were some positives from Saturday's game. Firstly, although I didn't think we actually played as well as we have been doing, first half we were the better team and should certainly have gone in 3 - 0 up, and were unluckly not to have had another penalty for the Butterfield incident. That certainly would have killed the game off. Secondly, Craig Davies looks like a quality player. He caused the (admittedly poor) Ipswich defence a lot of problems, made his one on one chance through his own pressure (admittedly he should have scored) and is on course to score more goals than any Barnsley player forward for a number of years. Added to that, he worked his backside off, even at 5-2 down, and came over to applaud and speak with the appreciative fans at the final whistle. Good lad. As for the others, Wiseman had a very good game and Vaz Te also played well. The key for me was losing Drinkwater. I know we played well for the rest of the first half but he showed his quality simply through his absence second half. I hope Hill can get him until the end of the season. Also, at 2 - 0 the (small) crowd was rocking. Even the East Stand where I was sat was singing. Rubbish second half, stopped doing the things we do well, couldn't get hold of the ball, and in hindsight Done was too bold a substitution. But it was only one half, bit of a reality check, but I believe Hill is building something special at Oakwell
Got to agree there were a lot of positives to take from the match , and I also somthing special is happening at the well.Onwards and upwards.
