There's a meeting at 14 00 tomorrow between Stagecoach management (spits) and the union the first dialogue since last week's strikes. Not too confident about anj progress being made.
apparently Souter's right hand man has sent a message, "they can strike til doomsday, we're not giving in"
If you go on strike again mate. can you please send PM to Whitey and inform him personally, that way he wont get any more boos!!!
maybe but,not wanting to go over old threads that's just the thing we would expect them to say stagecoach i mean not the union
yes takes the anniversary date back to april so in common with sheffield and i think chesterfield, more bargaining power.
That's the biggest load of turd I have heard in a long time. Not really bargaining power is it trying to hole your employers to ransom. To back date your pay its going to cost hundreds of thousands of pounds which will in turn will force ticket prices to increase. Given that the majority of the working world are suffering from minimal pay increases or even pay freezes yet your union wants to help knock another nail in the coffin of those that rely on public transport to get about. You keep using other areas as examples. Stagecoach in sheffield is mostly around the super tram and Chesterfield is from speaking to the drivers round here a very successful operation. I would suggest barnsleys isn't that profitable.
I wish you all the best. A driver in Barnsley is worth as much as in Sheffield or Chesterfield. To follow the logic of DEETEE, if route A is 2% more profitable than route B then route A drivers should be paid more. Imagine the chaos and unrest that would cause on a local level be it in Barnsley, Sheffield or Chesterfield.
Or the staff of company b are holding their employers to ransom as they want to be paid the same as the larger more successful company a employee when the money isn't there nor is the same level of services. One of the biggest issues seems to be the inability to separate stagecoach into what it is. Its not one giant company where everyone gets paid from the same pot regardless of whether they work in barnsley or Blackpool. Each stagecoach area is in essence its own business and is managed as such. As for causing chaos. It would in chesterfield as there seems to be a greater reliance on public transport than in barnsley.
love the way he thinks we actually give a toss everyone is more worried about their own finances and living standards ...sadly its very rapidly becoming a Dog eat Dog world.
