He had a shocker against Wigan in that 6-0 defeat so he was dropped for the start of the season.

He was poor at home to Cardiff in the 1-0 defeat, if i remember right he was at fault for Whittingham's goals.

He was at fault for one of the goals at Palace when we got beat 3-0, the 2nd one i think it was. The goal came from down the left.

He gave the penalty away at home to Sheffield United which cost us 2 points and also gave a penalty away at Crewe for sliding in at 90mph when there was no need to.

He went walk about's at home to Burnley by being caught too far up the field and Paterson nipped in and scored.

He got dropped for the Wednesday away game last season due to inconsistent form, the 3rd time he was dropped that season.

Forest's goal at home last season came from him not closing the marker down to allow the cross in.

He have the penalty away at Coventry costing us 2 points, he gave away 3 pen's last season!

Oh; and he was at fault for both goal's on Saturday, playing head tennis with himself for the 1st and not closing Gray down for the 2nd and just ball watching.

May have been a tad harsh but he's way too inconsistent for my liking and he definetely had more than 1 bad game last season!!! He had alot.

Pretty much right by my thinking there. He's very inconsistent. His problem for me is that he doesn't concentrate for the full 90 mins. Everything that Wednesday created in the first half came down his side. He was run ragged. Top class player on his day, but he does need to sort out the concentration problem.

Your right, he doesn't concentrate for the full game.

At times he'll go walk abouts and think's he's Roberto Carlos.

When he get's pissed off he'll lunge in and go straight through the back of some one, it's okay doing that if your going to win the ball. 5/10 he doesn't, he'll get sent off all the time if he isn't careful.

He was run ragged by a left back playing right wing, pretty much summed it up!

He's a good player on his day but he need's to get his head down and not **** about.

Its hard to blame things on just one person, it didnt help that both left sided players were predominatley right footed. As for the pens and cov and V sheff U, thats trying to pass blame when nones due.

Fair enough but he still lack's consistency and isn't concentrated half the time, if SD was to sign a proper Left Footed LB this summer then i would have gladly allowed Kozzie to leave or take a seat on bench.

I agree. Earlier on there were a few trying to pin the blame on Devaney. He didn't have a good game for sure but there were far worse than him out there. In the end they all battled superbly to come back to make it 2 -2. Only reason I commented at all was to defend Devaney - I felt he was getting a lot of unfair stick.

over the course of the seaosn you could say that about the majority of the first team squad, so why make kozzie an example?

    In all honesty...

Devaney isn't going to be good enough to start regularly at this level this season.

He's a Winger and they should attack full back's and take them on, not once did he perform that on Sat.

The only real thing he contributed all game was Butterfield's cross. I'm a fan of his and always have been, keep him for the squad but not good enough if were to improve.

JCR, Hammill and Halfredsson will be infront of him in the pecking order depending on where Halfredsson's going to play this season.

I agree though, there's some un warranted criticism from the fan's toward's him at times, especially in the Eaststand Lower. Should be re-named the 'Devaney Basher's' stand.

Because he's the main defender who will cost us at times this season.

Second goal he was ball watching, first goal, no challenge on Johnson in the box and he was 2-1. I dont disagree he with the fact he does make errors but so does Hassell, Foster,Moore, Steel et al as well yet they are semingly untouchable.

theres criticism of devaney is getting worse but yesterday he got no help from hassel part rrom the time he crossed to butterfield. hassell has got big problems too. He makes there lw look good. jj will not have a easier game all season. Hes nearly/his 30 and he depens like a 18 year old. watched man vs chelsea today and fabio can defend better than him by some distance . teale got slated by some of you but who was his best game aganist in league and cup yes barnsley where he made hassell look very bad. watfords jobi mac played good for them against barnsley and so on. barnsley defence is more than kouzluk
