If Norwich don't win either of their two games we are safe already. If Norwich lose tonight we just need a point to be safe. If Norwich win tonight we then have to have to get more points on Sunday than they do and we're safe. If Forest lose to Southampton and we get a point we'll be safe, irrespective of what Norwich do. And finally, if we beat Plymouth we are safe, irrespective of what Norwich or Forest do. So let's put a team out to beat Plymouth. Doncaster won 3-0 at Plymouth last week. They're rubbish. If we can't beat Plymouth, who have had a worse run than us since Christmas and who are one of the weakest teams in this division, then we deserve to go down.
I looked at the table today, saw donny, cast my mind back to a bitterly cold night in keep moat, and thought how the fook did they do that!
Indeed I find it odd that, despite giving two of the best teams in the league a run for their money in the last couple of weekends, folk suddenly Plymouth are unbeatable. I am by no means confident of survival but at the very least I'm hopeful! Some have already given it up as a bad job. In any event I hope we don't need a win to stay up because if so, there's a chance we'll send Plymouth down. Since we're staying over on Sunday and planning on going for a drink that evening, safety for both teams would be nice...
still wondering how the fook i managed to do that - sit there that night at keep moat without feezing to death
You know as well as I do A team being rubbish means little when they face our lot. We've lost to some awful sides this season. And away its worse. Davey has 6 days to get some confidence into them but I am not holding my breath.
Shouldn't you be filling teeth or something? You spend an incredible amount of time on here for someone struggling with patient numbers under an NHS dentistry contract. IMHO.
RE: You know as well as I do They won't blow it on Saturday. Because they wouldn't put us lot through the misery of a 6-7 hour train journey feeling miserable. Surely they owe us that much after the rubbish we've seen this season!!! By the way, I'm split 50-50 on the reason for our plight. Davey takes some of the blame for his rubbish tactics, messing around with JCR, his daft substitutions and his insistence on playing players out of position. Whilst our strikers take the rest of the blame, because our defence and defensive midfield have generally been good this season. Our strikers have been scared to take a shot, too slow to make the runs, rubbish when they do have a shot, unable to get into decent positions to head the ball when it's down the wing, doing all they can to avoid heading the ball when it is crossed over (or is that just Macken) and slow to move when we are attacking. Oh, and offside an awful lot. We moan at JCR for being greedy, but just watch the strikers when he gets the ball. They just don't move. And take a gamble on Mark Robins for me next season, if we aren't able to attract a decent experienced manager like Curbishley. Just ensure he doesn't get it into his head to fetch League Two players with him, like Parkin did.
Apart from the last bit "And finally, if we beat Plymouth we are safe, irrespective of what Norwich or Forest do." Not true. If Norwich win their last 2, and Forest win, we would be down, even if we beat Plymouth (on goal difference - unless we won by alot more goals than Norwich do). COME ON READING!!
You should apologise to everyone Its bad enough as it is without you fixing the bloody points totals against us!
I do Unreservedly. Although anyone looking at the state of your miserable mug on Saturday night would know we are down already. Have you been dumped yet?
I'll definately be dumped by Sunday Evening I just about cheered up enough on Satdi to save myself. But there'll be no comebacks on Sunday if we're down, I'll be miserable as sin. She's driving down to help me empty flat Friday night as well. So just as all my stuff turns up at her house I'll be packing it back up again. Your mum's got a few spare bedrooms hasn't she?
RE: Oh aye Obviously spent too much time listening to Horace's war stories and football opinions than doing any maths at school!
RE: I'll definately be dumped by Sunday Evening At what point did you cheer up? When Cheryl Cole wiggled her behind in your direction?
At long last we take responsibility for ourselves and win a game. Or, back on planet earth, we play for a point and lose, heralding am era of unbearable shiteness in league 1.
