Possible scam email ... tv licensing missed payment.

    If you get this email just hover the mouse over the various 'addresses' and it certainly doesn't show tv licensing.co.uk.
    It does show 'info@tvlastest.co.uk' as the sender and if you hover over the 'My Account' button it says 'telviso.co.uk/a'.
    Have any of you had this?

    The important Hong is that if TV licence people get upset with you they will send a physical letter anyway

    I had one from the rod licence people I knew straight away it was a phishing scam

    Also can't you just refuse them entry to your house? As far as I'm aware there's no way to conclusively prove you're using a TV. Detector vans are a hoax

    I got one a few weeks ago - after the initial concern as I had just paid the licence I realised it was sent to the wrong email and not one I use with the TV licence and the addresses were wrong

    In the old Analog TV days there were really TV detector vans that picked up the IF signal off your TV tuner and really could tell what channel you were watching. In todays Digital TV world that cant work so I dont know if there is any way you can detect a working TV these days there may still be something that can be done off the Tuner but not sure how that would work. No way to detect watching an internet stream though short of looking through the window
