Cossy had a decent record at Plymouth.

Wouldn't be against it but it's a very short term fix as he's 33 I think. Certainly prefer this option over Ennis who we are linked to every window.

Seen reports saying Dion Charles is looking to leave Bolton. Hudds circling apparently. That would be some pick up, doubt we'd be able to compete with Hudds though financially which is a shame.

Chronicle today says Ennis isn’t thought to be a target this window.

Mate of mine heard a rumour of Patrick Bamford to us on loan.

Wrexham bound I believe. No way could we afford a decent contribution to his wages.

He’s on £40,000 a week a Leeds I don’t think even Wrexham would pay that.

He’ll probably be on 40K plus a week because I’m fairly sure they gave him a new contract after he’d had a decent season in the prem. I agree with you, don’t think we’d spend the resource that we have on Bamford.

He’s bringing his Dads digger with him to level the playing surface apparently:

Lad from Wigan is having a medical at York City £350k.. That's what they're paying in the National League nowadays..
Like it or not that's the football world we live in.. S'hit or get off the pot..

I agree. Read a lot of "it's easy to spend someone else's money", "be thankful we have a club". However, I don't think these humble custodians would be season ticket holders in the National League. I know I wouldn't.

If we were going to have a player who is out for 3 weeks and in for 1 week I'd prefer us to buy a tampon.

Tampon would probably score a similar amount of goals (this isn’t me talking him in going to Wrexham this month and then getting 15 for them).

Still scoring quite regularly. Did well abroad. Could definitely do a job at this level for half a season, with a 1 year contract in our favour depending on how it went.

Gray really impressed me after starting this season at Plymouth Argyle. He was a free agent, but Plymouth snapped him up and he scored a few cracking goals, looked fast and fit. He might be worth a contract to the end of this season, but the big BUT for me is that I am not sure that he is the style of striker we need. We need IMHO a striker who can hold the ball up and bring midfielders/wing backs into play, whilst scoring the occasional goal as well. Norwood did that pretty well and Humphrys is not bad at all at it. We need a Trevor Aylott type forward. Watters showed on Wednesday how effective a good target man/striker could be in our system of play, but we don't have cover for him and he has suffered injuries this season. If we want another fox in the box, Andre Gray would fit the bill. I would be looking for a target man/striker.
