Nar that was some day, eh? In fact it was really three days long.... and, my word, what a finish to it in Cardiff. It was special. I am very happy that I was there with the tribe at Cardiff. It will be talked about for decades, along with Wembley, Bradford and the Prem experience. Me throat, me 'ead, ahh, it was worth it.... i'm wearing me discomforts like medals today, like all of youse, I expect.. Thanks to the folk who were concerned that I might not make it to Cardiff (long and boring story). Thanks to cazi who helped with me europcar. Bottom line is that things started to happen as they should and I was in Barnsley after driving over thro Tintwhistle. I got in tarn about 10pm and had a couple of cans with me mate. I felt really great at that point. Arriving, a bit of sympathy, a beer, a shower, prospect of six hours sleep and Cardiff trip at 7am. and what a day... good craic in wetherspoons, with Tyrone and Mrs Tyrone (what a lady and a daler too, lucky man).... and Rufus, very nice to meet you, mate... lifes good,eh? and a week int tarn...
RE: Yay!........ thanks, susie... I went rarnd tarn last night after the return. I expected it to be full of returning tykes... but mainly was just the usual debauchery... I meandered up to Broadway around one am feeling absoletly drained. Good like, but drained...
Well done Mick. Glad you made it, shame we couldn't meet up. The Refuge "Oakwell" is officially minus one on the bottles remaining count. A light, refreshing wine with a pleasent hint of turps.
