POST MATCH REACTION FROM OAKWELL Posted on: Tue 17 Mar 2009 REDS boss Simon Davey gave his thoughts following tonight's win at Oakwell. He said: "There was only one team in it tonight. We got three and really could have had more in the end. "When we have our players back on the pitch we will get results. We had them back tonight and we won the game. It is difficult for us when people are missing. "When we have them all on the park we can perform like that. "It was a pleasing result but the performance was even better. We were right at it tonight. "Anderson has been away for a fortnight and we have not played football. He has come back and we played".
I didn't go last night due to finishing work... 15 mins after kick off, but according to the live commentry on the radio they had the first quarter of the game and a good spell when we went two one up, Hassell clearing a certain goal off Kuqi's header being a key moment. So why does Davey always come out and say "only one team in it?" although we deserved the result Radio Inbred didn't quite come to that conclusion. Scott Minto watching for SSN also said Palace had a good opening but then faded and only one team in it 1st half, l didnt listen to his comment on the second half.
On SSN last night he said and I paraphrase: "We were right at it from the first minute" - first 20 we were shocking and I thought it would be another Blackpool-esque performance! What does the man see??
