POST MATCH REACTION FROM OAKWELL Posted on: Sat 25 Apr 2009 REDS boss Simon Davey gave his thoughts following today's home draw with Wolves. Simon said: "That's definitely two points dropped and we are all very disappointed not to win the game. Someone is really putting us through the mill and we have been in front in the last five minutes of four out of our last five or six matches. That has happened again - it is frustrating but we only have ourselves to blame. "We now need to go and get a result at Plymouth in our cup final. We dropped off in the last ten minutes and stepped off the pace. We are just not finishing games off at the moment. "We have got a point and it is one point more that Norwich have to get. That is still a lot for them to do and we are three in front of them. We know we have to go to Plymouth and get a result. It is still anybodies and there is all to play for. "I thought our fans were fantastic today. They were brilliant. Wolves wanted to win that game and we more than matched them. Our supporters were brilliant but we never seem to do it the easy way. "Bobby Hassell has been fantastic all season and would be my player of the year if I had to choose. It is thoroughly deserved". http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10309~1629031,00.html
Utter, utter ******. WE didn't shoot ourselves in the foot Simon - YOU did by changing the shape and ordering forward players to drop back.
WHY do you think we concede so many goals late on? It's your negative tactics, you idiot.
Davey out.

I've been through the mill The one at Worsbrough. Saw how flour was made and that. Quite interesting. Is that what he means?
patrick read his comments then sack him "Someone is really putting us through the mill" YOU "we have been in front in the last five minutes of four out of our last five or six matches. That has happened again" BECAUSE YOU KEEP GOING DEFENSIVE "it is frustrating but we only have ourselves to blame. WE HAVE YOU TO BLAME "We dropped off in the last ten minutes and stepped off the pace. We are just not finishing games off at the moment. BECAUSE YOU KEEP GOING DEFENSIVE "Wolves wanted to win that game" THE DIDNT LOOK LIKE THE DID "we more than matched them" TILL YOU PISSED ABOUT "we never seem to do it the easy way" BECAUSE OF YOU
Davey, you are to blame. Just how stupid, thick skinned and stubborn are you? You're a useless ******
No mention of the daft substitutions then? In a refreshing alternative reality... ...Davey would say: "We did well to get our noses in front. We showed a bit of nerves after that - perhaps because of the goals we have leaked having been ahead in recent games. I tried to stiffen things up in the midfield when Hammill picked up a knock. I could have replaced him like for like with Devaney but I though Andranik would help us defend the lead more. It didn't really work out that way but hindsight is a wonderful thing in football. Who knows what would have happened if I'd put Devaney on. It was a turning point. The players gave 100%, the fans were amazing - I know we all wanted three points today but a point against the Champions is not a bad result and it keeps the pressure on Norwich. We have to get ready for Plymouth now - we all believe that we can go there and get what we need to keep us in this division." How much more respect would you have for that rather than the delusional, irrational b*ll-sh*t he keeps coming out with? Can't wait to see the back of him.
RE: patrick read his comments then sack him I couldn't understand why he tried to shut up shop when we were dangerous at 4-4-2 because time and time again we have shown we can't protect a lead. Devaney straight swap for Hamill when he came off injured was the obvious choice to keep the momentum going. At that stage we looked good for the win, yet negativity again has cost us. Andranik looked and played like he couldn't be arsed when he came on, and others didn't seem to know what they were supposed to be doing.
