POST MATCH REACTION FROM OAKWELL Posted on: Tue 18 Aug 2009 REDS boss Simon Davey gave his thoughts following tonight's defeat at Oakwell. Simon said: "We are very disappointed. I thought we started the game quite well, created chances but ended up two down. It felt like everything Preston hit in the first half ended up in the back of our net. "A home defeat just is not acceptable and we had to put things right on Saturday. You get paid for what you do in each penalty box and we just did not do enough. "It was not good enough. Losing 3-0 at home is an embarrassment and they have been told that at half time and again afterwards".
What, no mention of the ref!? About time Davey just walked away from the job. Players can go on about how good he is, but at times they don't look interested in playing for him. If he thinks that all we need is another striker to complete our squad after the last 2 games then he is blind. WE CAN'T DEFEND! Come to that, we must have had 5 or 6 decent crosses from free kicks and corners yet didn't connect with any.
Well I hope that makes them feel a lot worse imagine telling them its not acceptabe and an embarrasment, yet the fans have been accepting the same ***** for 3 fecking seasons.
That was his last chance pal, but as our illustrious owner...... sees fit to ignore the problem Christ knows how long the tw@t will stay.
"It was not good enough. Losing 3-0 at home is an embarrassment and they have been told that at half What about your performance Simon? Is that acceptable? Where's the defenders we need? Why do we have a young pro being torn apart by a great winger? Where are OUR wingers? Where are our goals going to come from? How many times are you going to play Odd Job before you realise he is never going to score at this level? Why do we play hoof ball? I would rather go down playing football then go down playing long diagnals into the channel and straight hoof balls at Odd Job. Where's plan 'B' Simon? Simon? Are you listening Simon? GroundHog Day and it sounded like he has lost the support of the fans - a sizable cross section were singing "We want Davey out" in the Ponty tonight, who at the club is listening?
and how odejayi keeps getting a start ahead of Boggy is mind numbing Boggy seems to be the next Christensen, it appears SD doesn't like confidence in a striker.

He must be like a stuck record at half time as he must have had the same half time team talk the last 3 league games!
