Can anyone advise me as to how many first class stamps I might need to post a live hedgehog? It fits snuggly into an A4 envelope.

And before all the crazy animal lovers kick off, I'm putting a couple of worms in the envelope as well.

    Probably the same number

as to post a dead one.

You should consider a padded envelope though to prevent the spines sticking out, don't want to get sued by an injured postie.

    RE: Probably the same number

I've already considered the spike problem and have broken up a cork floor tile.

We got sent one of those useful Hedgehog postage size/cost help sheets.

Now they've changed from just weight to size and weight for working out the cost its a little more difficult, but they have a tool at th popst office that helps. Pop your hedgehog/cork tile/worm combo in its enevlope and pop down. Weight it on the scales and then see if you can jam it through the hole in the tool. Don't push too hard, I lost 3 hedgehogs before I figured that one out.

Can't be more than a wild badger. £3.74 national second class.

Unfortunately the badger didn't survive. I wish I'd thought of the worms thing.</p>

Thanks Rosco, I knew someone on the BBS would know. I'll sort it tomorrow and let you know how I get on.

It's a bit of an experiment really, no matter how far I kick it on an evening, it keeps coming back to the garden the next night.

    I think it's a homing hedgehog.

Might not be the same one, where do you think I am posting my hedgehogs to each evening.
