My attempt: The idea is it could be held up at a game as a red card as well (against morgan at sheff u away?) Can anyone else come up with something better (please - i'm no designer).
Good Idea Probably be better using a picture that clearer. Be good if one can be handed over per ticket sold for say the West Ham game. Be around 3,600 (should we sell out) holding it up together and television cameras would pick up on it.
Said this the other day Nice and simple... Postcard landscape layout. Broken in to 3 equal vertical sections. Left pane, pic of Morgan doing his nazi impression. Middle pane, pic of Hume in hospital with bandages on. Right pane, whatever text we wanna include, white text on a black background. I think that would be visually striking yet to the point. Just whether we'd have copywrite problems using the pictures?
RE: Only image you need. Very visual that one, but it does give the pundits the chance to say that this image is the result of the treatment and not the actual elbow damage ( I know without one he wouldnt have the other ) only being devils advocate if its going to be done we cant give anybody the chance to dismiss it. I recon just large text on a red background. WE WANT JUSTICE FOR IAN HUME. RED CARDS FOR ELBOWS
If you want it doing professionally i'll sort it PM me if so, including your budget and how many you want doing. I can then work out the best option, including paper quality and finishing.
We need to be careful. We don't want to confuse people. They may think we're asking to give the indie band "Elbow" the red card. Apart from their lacklustre melodies & piss poor lyrics - I don't think the group have done anything to offend the supporters for Barnsley Football Club. I'd suggest: Let's give the elbow (body part, not indie band) the red card - and by that we mean cut Chris Morgan's **** off. It's catchy.

A word of warning Be careful that any printed item does not constitute a legal challenge, either for copyright or for deformation. We know how there has been an injustice, but as yet that has not been proved in court. I don't have to remind you that the club in question have a 'sue' culture.
Some text for the reverse... On the 8th November 2008 during the championship game between Barnsley and Sheffield United, the United captain Chris Morgan committed an outrageous challenge on Iain Hume that left the Barnsley striker in hospital with a life and career threatening injury. TV evidence proved beyond reasonable doubt that Morgan used his elbow to inflict the injury on Iain. The referee, Andy D'Urso for reasons known only to himself elected to punish this violent act with only a yellow card, which reduced the ability of the FA to hand out any further punishment to Chris Morgan. Despite all the evidence, views of people inside and outside the game and supporters, the FA deemed the offence to not be exceptional despite setting a previous precedent with Ben Thatcher, and the FA refused to inflict further punishment on Morgan. We call on the FA, FIFA and football authorities to stamp out the curse of the elbow and punish the crime appropriately. In addition, we call on the authorities to change the ridiculous rule that a yellow card cannot be rescinded or upgraded.
