    I absolutely love it. Best news of the year for the amount of offence it is causing people that claim others are ‘the professionally offended’ or ‘snowflakes’ as though they would otherwise have been buying one to play with themselves but this has ruined it.
    Looking forward to the input of some posters in this thread- been waiting for it to get picked up on here!
    Should keep them busy til the news gets released that ‘Easter’ is being removed from ‘Easter eggs’ - YOU COULDNT MAKE IT UP!!

    It's probably a way of reducing the production/packaging costs (e.g. turning two products into one), in addition to generating a lot of headlines for free (much cheaper than advertising - exactly what Ryanair do). They're just using 'outrage culture' to their benefit.

    It always amazes me how Gen-Z are referred to as 'snowflakes' because they apparently want everything cancelled. In fact, I see most of the people who are outraged at things, or want things cancelled (such as this change), are actually the baby boomer generation. Would love to see some research into which generation is actually the most outraged...I have an inkling which it would be.

    Without getting too far down the rabbit hole; the baby boomer generation benefited from: jobs for life, free education, gold-plated pensions, early retirement, inheriting their parents wealth, good work-life balance, relatively long peace-time. Do you think Gen-Z have those benefits? If not, do you understand why they might want things to change?

    Tbf to the boomers not all of them did. A small minority got to go to uni and if you were on low pay you wouldn't be getting a great pension.

    I personally find it more disturbing that there are blue and pink kinder eggs now rather than just the one gender neutral one of my childhood.

    Further down the article it states that Barbie has changed with different skin tones etc. I understand the need for that. But whatever anyone claims to be, whatever race, religion etc. humans will be male or female.
