    No! No! Please, no!

He might do a job in trying to get the ball occasionally for Doncaster Rovers to get a kick, but not in a footballing side - no!!! Davey's idea of a holding midfielder is Anderson, or Johnson - both are cultured footballers, but with physical presence of the right kind. I can't imagine that we would even consider him. He would be likely to be a) over-paid b) unfit c) give away pointless penalties d) give away pointless free-kicks e) get sent off and reduce the midfield to tatters in so doing.

    NO!

Davey's idea of a holding midfielder is Johnson?

Really? Why doesn't he play him then? It appears to me that Davey's idea of a holding midfielder is Bobby Hassell, which makes me think that his ideas really aren't that hot.
