Is this the type of player we could get? and what does everyone think to any of these?

    Matt Jansen
    Chris Perry
    Duncan Ferguson
    Vincent Pericard
Steve Harper (wants to leave Newcastle)
    Gareth Taylor
    Gifton Noel-Williams
    Darren Kenton
    Jamie Clapham
    Richard Langley
    Stan Lazaridis
    Marian Pahars

All but two of those players will be looking for moves to high ranked Championship teams at least - with players like Harper, Jansen and Ferguson almost definate to get Premiership teams.....

I'd also be very surprised if most of those players havent been earning a minimum of £10k per week - and expect similar again.

    We've got to get realistic.

Was kind of thinking the same but then again look at it this way: Chris Perry, Duncan Ferguson, Gareth Taylor only at Forest, Jamie Clapham, Stan Lazaridis, Marian Pahars they are all over 30 and will have to take a step down and step down in there wages.
Gifton Noel Williams was only at Brighton last season!
But maybe a little bit unrealistic!
Dunno but anyway was only suggestions!

Kenton is a good versatile defender.

But wouldn't surprise me if black players were put off playing at oakwell. Remember hearing a few times last year in the ponty 'carbon's a useless black lovely person' not to mention booing ahmed vs hudds

Happened at Colchester away last season when we were defending nearest the away end someone shouted some racist remark and Carbon turned round and gave the evils even though it wasnt directly aimed at Carbon!

Clarke Carlisle. I don't know if he's rated much at Watford, but he didnt get a game in the Play-off final. He was suited up at the final whistle so maybe he were injuried.

Keith Gillespie. Can't see him getting a game for Sheff Utd next season, he can cross a reyt ball.

Gillespie would be a good one id rather see him out wide right than Shuker as he never seems to beat the first man ... Shuker is better at coming off the bench for the last 15 mins to run rings round tired defenders imo

Realistic signings. Would both be excellent and what we specificly need (big, strong goalscorer and versatile, quick defender)
