Just had an e-mail saying that there's been suspicious activity on my Lloyd's TSB account and that they've stopped all activity with it until I sign in and sort it out (well words to that effect), but i'm not with Lloyd's TSB, which obviously proves it's an e-mail being sent around by some twa@t. "You are seeing this message because LloydsTSB Security has detected suspicious activity on your account and has temporarily suspended it as a security precaution. This may be because your LloydsTSB account was accessed from an unfamiliar computer or you have made changes in your account information. Any email purporting to be from a bank that asks you for login/account details is a scam. If you are ever in doubt do NOT click on the link but access the banks website in your usual way. You should also forward that email to the bank, even in cases like this when you aren't a member of the bank, check online for their contact details, they will usually have an email address for you to report scamming operations.
Actually, in the case of the email you showed, that sounds like it's legit in that it just asks you to visit the site not to click on a link or enter details. It could be that an incorrect email address is on that policy, or someone randomly forwarding on. updated......it does ask you to click on a link so it's a scam.
