Doesn't that constitute a whole new team?

    Lucketti's the benchmark for me

As to the resolve of the club to stay up.

    No keeper on the list!

I'd say the minimum we need is a left back, centre half and a striker. we need more quality all over the pitch still, of the loanees, I'd keep Reid, McCann is a permanent which leaves 3 poss new loanees, not so sure what we've got to spend on permanent signings and some of the suggestions are likely to be out of our price range.

Peter Thorne (Norwich) - possible, not sure how much he's played and getting on a bit
Chris Brown and Neil Collins (Sunderland) - good call
Chris Lucketti and David Unsworth (Blades) - would like them both but wages might be a problem.
Jon Otsemobor (Crewe) - yes please
Dominic Matteo & Matt Derbyshire (Blackburn) - yes to both
Neil Clement (WBA) - can't defend to save his life
    Lee Williamson (Rotherham) - yes
Ian Evatt (QPR) - he'd come but not sure he's good enough
Caleb Folan (Chesterfield) - yes, as long as we're sure he's white
Ray Parlour, David Wheater and Andrew Davies (Boro) - no, yes, yes
Phillip Bardsley and Ryan Shawcross (Man United) yes, no
Izale McLeod (MK Dons) - too expensive, got other options so can't see it
Darren Dods (Inverness CT) - who?
Matt Jackson and Ryan Taylor (Wigan - Jackson won't come, he's club captain there. Taylor yes, if he's fit.

    Long shot - Pawal Abbot.

    Abbott

not in the Hudds side and they're doing *****, so its a wonder...
Matt Derbyshire is just making the first team at Blackburn, so Hughes obv rates him, maybe a month or 3 on loan?
Evatt is at Blackpool on loan at the minute, and they're the form team in League 1
Williamson is injured but like Hoskins, has refused a new contract so likely to be going in Jan
Otsemobor will have Premiership options at a guess, Bolton linked with him recently
Sunderland and Norwich most likely to have a clear out, Brown and Thorne have track record at Champ level
Dods is a tough tackling centre half getting rave reviews and attracting attention from both Glasgow clubs
Matteo and Lucketti will have options no doubt, think we stick a better chance of doing business with Warnock now though.
We tried for both Wheater and Clement prior to window closing, could go back for them, maybe a Man United youngster now they are out of the League cup and drawn Prem in the FA Cup.

    RE: Abbott

Abbot and Jacko don't get on.

Huddersfield were interested in Derbyshire very recently but I think they've had the brush off.

To be fair Abbott's been injured for the last month or so, still wouldn't touch him with a barge pole though.

was an option for us earlier, AR didnt want him. the goals he scored for Wrexham last season were Brazilian. if Hughes wants him to get games in the Championship, he'd show Nardi how its done I reck.
