I will have to see Derby's goal again to see if anyone wasn't doing their job so, at the risk of shooting myself in the foot, I'll say that both Wiseman and Cranie played very well tonight. They both looked very solid, particularly when Wisey had to move to the middle; Chris Martin didn't get half as much of the ball from that point onwards. If you add to that the fact that they both had to guide RNL and Jones through the game then I think they deserve a lot of credit. On the minus side I was disappointed with O'Brien's contribution. The quality of his crosses was not up to standard and led to a number of wasted opportunities. Mellis seemed a little bit casual at times. As for Cywka, I'm not sure, because I didn't really notice him to be honest. He only came to my attention when he got the MOTM award! Whilst the 90th minute leveller is painful it feels like a walk in the park compared to Saturday. For me, we now have to win at Forest on Saturday. It's a massive ask but this league being what it is, it is entirely possible.
I thought they were both excellent too. It gives me hope that with that solid centre back partnership we can get enough points to keep us up. We just need some fit players elsewhere on the pitch.
More importantly.... Artie Fufkin is back! Kick this ass for a man! I'm not asking you, I'm telling you!! Pardon me. I have resigned myself to relegation and have subsequently cheered up. Try it everybody!
Thought Wiseman should have got MoM. Only think the sponsors gve it to Cywka because he's an ex Derby player.
I was suprised when MOTM was given to Cwyka. Thought O'Grady had a better game. Wiseman was brilliant tonight, made some crucial decisions that were all right. Onlt blip was that near the end, but he recovered it brilliantly.
Cranie's a class act, I feel we look a lot better when he's in the team, best defender at the club in my opinion. Flicker's done a great job with Wiseman, he took him out of the firing line when he was struggling for form & he's brought him back in & the lad looks full of confidence & in his best form since joining us.
Don't resign yourself to relegation Mr C. We can beat Forest on Saturday (no wins in five). I'm not asking you, I'm telling you!
