Goal aside, which was a worldy, how good was Brownhill today? Held it together when they had a decent spell in the first half but second half, he ran the game, and their midfielders and forwards never got a kick.

Both centre halves were colossal, Mawson in particular, and also praise for Chapman and Watkins. No real weak links, and once we stopped giving them the ball, we were unplayable. Long time since I've seen a Barnsley side dominate 45 minutes like that second half, away from home.

Seems wrong not to comment on the others, but an excellent job well done.

    Football, bloody hell.

Great game today, fantastic to have a proper ball-playing centre half who wins the ball both on the ground and in the air and rarely hoofs it upfield. Roberts was excellent as well.

Really difficult to single out any players, they all did the business today.
