“If having sex with a drunk woman is rape, then thousands of men are guilty of rape every day. "

In the context of this case that is a ******* scandalous comment. That's NOT what Evans was convicted of.

But it's the first in what will be a long line of articles/interviews etc to attempt at a media level anyway, Evans' rehabilitation.

There is different scales of rape though
Hiding in a bush jumping out and slapping her about a bit beforehand.
Following someone before grabbing her from behind with a knife to her neck.
Taking a bird home from pub kissing on way home, having a cheeky finger downstairs, getting up stairs pulling her pants to one side just about to complete the job, she says no, he thinks one thrust and I'm in, and gives it a push.

And before pc crew start going mental, all the 3 above examples will carry different prison sentences so it proves their are different types of offence

I've heard Peter Gabriel and The Specials are currently working on a protest song about the injustice of it all

I've just read this on the BBC website. There was no violence apparently. Well if someone shoved their **** in me when I hadn't asked for it I'd ruddy well deem it violent.

So he's been found guilty by a jury, but that doesn't mean he is actually guilty? I hadn't thought about that. What about the other 80,000 people in prison? Perhaps they're all innocent too. We'd best let them all out to be on the safe side. And lets scrap the legal system altogether, because juries might get it wrong. And lets stop demonising Jimmy Savile, because he might not have done anything.

Honestly, football is a different world isn't it. It won't be long before the PFA starts campaigning for football to have its own legal system, like the army. Maybe then footballers can be tried with a jury of their own peers. He may have got off then, judging by the low morals by which some footballers live.

Judge: On the charge of rape, how does the jury find the defendant?
Head juror: Not guilty. It were just a laugh, innit. I mean, she woz a fit bird and the lads just fancied a bit of roasting didn't they. Look, I've got a video of it on my phone. I'll just take my phone out of Ashley's arse.

No I wouldn't have him anywhere near our club, that doesn't mean that theirs not different scales of severity when looking at rape/sexual abuse cases.

FIFA have their own legal system, so why not football in general? Why should football have to conform to civilised laws like the rest of us. It's so important that it deserves to have its own independent legal system.

I think the FIFA system is brilliant. The people who commit the offences are the same people that make the laws in the first place, and the same people who investigate any wrongdoings. What a superb way to reduce the crime rate. Every time an offence is committed, the laws can be retrospectively changed so that, in effect, the offence never happened.

I can't believe this principle isn't applied to other fine upstanding bastions of our society.

Actually, so was I, but I just can't be bothered discussing it anymore. We're going to move on to different degrees of murder methods next. "Oh, his murder wasn't that bad, because he only did a strangle. He didn't chop her up and start eating her..."

Breaking into someone's house carries a sentence of a fine and community service for first time offenders, Ched got 5 years for rape, yet if had broken into his victims house to rape her he would have got 10/12 years even as a first time offender.
