Obviously Flicker will have the players in hand, but what about the fans? Our fans have been amazing in recent weeks, and I can't remember Oakwell rocking like it was Vs Hull for a long, long time. So my question is:- At what point will you stop singing? After you've left the pub? After the warm ups and the nerves kick in? When someone tells you Peterborough are 1-0 up? If Huddersfield take a lead? If Huddersfield go 2 goals up If Barnsley take a lead and then Huddersfield claw it back & go in front? All I'm saying is, for 90 minutes, regardless of what happens, in Huddersfield or elsewhere, we have to keep going. The players deserve this for this game... it only takes a minute to change a game. We need to be right behind them whatever happens. The players have responded so well ..... Be proud, be loud! COYR!! (ok, I've peaked too soon, I know, but I'll repost on Fri/Sat)
Pub 9.30. You know it makes fecking sense. Pretending to be shopping in Huddersfield my feckin arse x
I will settle down on Black Hag (google it) with a litre of red wine, a radio and a few sheep. The sheep can get ready if we win.
I never sing, but I clap louder than anyone. And more often. I don't wear gloves when it's cold as it reduces the volume of my clapping. I shout words of encouragement to the players, even though they can't hear me. Jim gave me a thumbs up against Brighton, even though he was having a bad game. That spurred me on to vicyory.
Now, I know Flicker thinks the world of his players...but that's going the extra yard and if he approaches me... I'll have to inform him that I'm not that kind of boy...
Flicker keeps mentioning how good the fans have been. You might argue that's just because he's been trying to unite the club, something Hill failed to do, but I honestly think we've helped the players a lot. The atmosphere has been brilliant the last few games, especially against these 'big' teams, and our home form (Charlton aside) has matched that. We've got a big job to do tomorrow and need to keep supporting them no matter the score.
For anyone who missed it..Blackpool away was an unbelievable atmosphereI don't know if it really helped the team..but it certainly felt like it did.Get that going tomorrow and we might make a difference......you never know!!
