Before today's game the players spent at least 15 minutes taking shooting practice. Surely someone must have told them that the whole point was to try to replicate it during the 90 minutes that followed. The performance was poor today but we had plenty of opportunities to shoot and instead went for another pass as if they were scared to miss. It's not rocket science - if you don't shoot, you don't score.
Young lads scared to take responsibility gaz. Some ******** needed in the side. Hopefully this new lad and Winnall will bring some and the team will grow from it. Our shots at goal count, since the chezzy game really, has been poor. A few times today we were shouting to shoot only for them to pass and more often than not lose possession.
My funniest moment ever at a match was last season; no-one was willing to shoot and it was just back pass after back pass and we were all screaming 'shoot' when O'Brien got in a great position and blasted it nowhere near the net. Immediately, a guy in front of me shouted 'pass!' I think you had to be there.
