Has anyone ever pre ordered anything from the HMV website? I was going to pre order FIFA 10 for the 360 but know that if you order from play.com you will get it a few days before the game comes out. But does the same apply for HMV? Cheers in advance.
I've pre-ordered from www.play.com before and for me it usually has come 2/3 days after the release date. Doesn't get sent out till the release date. (dunno)
I've only ever pre-ordered anything once that was a DVD from Amazon.co.uk, came the day before it was released.
How can you PRE-ORDER something? Do you have to order the order? Its just ordering , just the same as anything else, just you get it slightly before the normal release date. Pre-order is not a real thing its ballox. ( ( ( ( ( ( ( ( ( ( (
Been a regular PRE-ORDERERERER from play for years and i've always found as long as you PRE-ORDER it about a month before release date, generally they will despatch to arrive the day its official release date or before Got loads of albums on Saturday morning before they hit the shops Monday Use play
Play usually deliver games a day or 2 before release...... A couple of times had them on the day - but also just the once i've had one a day late.</p> I have ordered from Argos this year though because they were doing a promotion to get 20% off the pre-order price - so got mine reserved with them for £28 delivered - they also say they will deliver on the day of release, which is fine by me because more than likely EA won't allow access to their games servers until day of release anyway, so the only benefit of getting it early would be to play offline - fine if that's your thing.</p> Tesco Direct currently have it for £31.97 delivered, so there's a saving of £8 on Play straight away. I can however highyl recommend a company called ShopTo.net - they are brilliant. £34.85 just now, and they say if they don't get it to you on or before release day, they will credit your account with £3(?) in vouchers. They also are very good at delivering early - they also have a forum you can join, and the despatch team actually post on there, sometimes even photo's of the pallets of the game you are waiting for coming into stock. And instead of waiting 3-5 days for delivery from Play, ShopTo usually deliver the day after despatch.</p> Hope that helps mate </p>
