    No Hartlepool?

If I was a betting man I wouldnt overlook Hartlepool. Playoffs for the last two seasons on the back of a promotion from div 2. One of the most organised, no-nonsense teams in the division over the last 2 seasons.

    My predictions for next season

Relegation scrap will be the only thing exciting in the prem next season, title race will be boring (zzz)

Leeds will win Championship, with Wolves and Norwich finishing 2nd and 3rd

League 1 will be tight AGAIN, and a team who were between 10th and 20th to win the league in the bookies will win it...

    RE: No Hartlepool?

i wouldnt bet against hartlepool either but as they are at their highest ever position in the league im just not sure how much longer they can keep it up.

me thinks the Poolie bubble will burst

Neale Cooper sacked, new manager in, never a good sign following period of success, tho they've kept some of their better players, so good luck to em.

Was Cooper sacked? I thought it was a funny carry on up there, didn't he walk out? Or was he forced?

    sacked "for not smiling enough"

the chairman was a bit brassed off that Cooper looked p***ed off after they'd lost a game yet were still in with a shout of play offs. Me thinks it's a bit more personal than that...sh*gging the wife? Also, he was linked with a move back to Scotland, ironic when... (see below)

As for not smiling enough...imagine how long Hart woulda lasted!!! (not even pre-season)

Whatever way you look at it, Cooper had done a superb job. Tho as manager of Gills he's since signed Mad Tom Williams, the inept Barnsley left back. Shares in Cooper have since levelled off, pending season starting.
