I think we should have a poll for who takes over Preece's programme page.

Wouldn't see Button happy as number 2 anyway. I expect we would be able to afford him should Steele be sold though. Hope Steele stays.

Hill needs to find someone happy to be be bench warmer which is tricky. Wonder if he will put young lad Lukas on bench. Ideally wouldn't be required anyway.

Preece was obviously happy to be a bench warmer. Just a shame that when he was called upon he was utter toss.

Very best of luck to him

Don't know if he's a good 'keeper or not as I simply haven't seen enough of him. He's had a couple of dodgy games, but the best players in the world have those, particularly when they've just come in to the team. He is, however, a smashing bloke and I hope he finds a club where he can become first choice.

Don't think Button is on Twitter anyway so no use really.

should sell steele and buy button

Better than steele going for nothing when his contract runs out.

But give button a contract longer than 2 years

Agreed. We should at least have a keeper who can give Steele some competition - at the minute no matter how good or bad Steele's performance he knows he's going to get picked, not much of an insentive to improve is it?

I think that's a bit insulting to Steele

He's very ambitious and wants to play in the Premiership. He knows that unless he performs well and consistently well, he's not going to get much notice at Barnsley.

Every keeper will make mistakes. And the way the defence performs sometimes, he's under a lot of pressure.

Steele is a very good keeper, who, I believe, will play in the Premiership.

Remember, most keepers come into their best years in their late 20's

I have always rates Tommy Lee at Chesterfield, but he would be too good just to warm the bench.
