    1. Have the club brought in more revenue?
    2. What is the 'core' fanbase now?
    3. How many people have been alienated by it?
    4. Has it worked?

    1. No idea. Even if they have short term by fleecing away fans they will see a long term drop in revenue from reduced merchandise and refreshment sales along with a reduced long term home support.

    2. A couple of thousand lower than before. 20% drop?

    3. Thousands.

    4. It was a disaster last season and has been a bigger disaster this season. A policy that seriously harms the long term future of barnsley fc.

It is ok alienating our home supporters and saying it doesnt matter because leeds bring so many fans that we make more money anyway (which seems to be the argument) but what happens if leeds get promoted? We lose that big pqy day from away fans but the home fans are still sat at home completely alienated. Short term thinking that puts the long term club at risk.

People are always looking to be offended. They're also always looking for an excuse not to go to matches. The stay aways are always the most indignant over prices without accepting/realising they are part of the problem.

£30 for a adult ticket at home to Brum next week IS an insult to hard working fans

especially in a working class twon like Barnsley and the surrounding area

The club have alienated a lot of support with their joke of a pricing policy.

Disco Don better scrap it next season or does he have the prayer mat out hoping that Huddersfield, Wednesday and Blades all get promoted to fill the away end ??

I would say they probably have brought in more revenue, gates only dropped by 12% and big pay days against Leeds and probably West Ham to come

Home attendances, not including away fans:

    2011-2012
    Leeds United - 11,771
    Blackpool - 10,148
    Southampton - 9,584
    Doncaster Rovers - 9,458
    Crystal Palace - 9,296
    Watford - 9,186
    Millwall - 8,884
    Coventry City - 8,820
    Derby County - 8,764
    Ipswich Town - 8,761
    Leicester City - 8,756
    Burnley - 8,727
    Middlesbrough - 8,721
    Bristol City - 8,546
    Hull City - 8,430

    2010-2011
    Leeds United - 13,577
    Burnley - 11,481
    Coventry City - 11,118
    Sheffield United - 10,971
    Derby County - 10,910
    Doncaster Rovers - 10,564
    Cardiff City - 10,433
    Nottingham Forest - 10,411
    Middlesbrough - 10,245
    Millwall - 10,287
    Watford - 10,219
    Portsmouth - 10,190
    Swansea City - 10,067
    Leicester City - 10,053
    Reading - 9,910
    Bristol City - 9,791
    Queens Park Rangers - 9,778
    Hull City - 9,558

It might be making them more money in the short run, but in the long run it looks like we will see a decline in our fanbase as too many people are priced out, especially as the economic situation looks set to worsen.

if the club had charged £20 a game from begginin of the season the stayaways would have simply found another reason not to go, but by all means orsentw@t you keep tryin to prove some kind of point

Good Evening thereev! Nice to encounter someone worth replying to!

    Racing decimated tomorrow, I fear.

No worries, we're off to see the Da Vinci exhibition tomorrow, snow permitting!

tbh i find you and your compadre extremely comical, you spend most of the day hijacking most threads through alleged boredom and quoting your lame "hope this helps" catchphrase, while your mate pops up now and again, even less so since his preseason prohecy went tits up, to have a pop at the club, cue lame catchphrase
